The Allies were determined to keep peace with the Soviets so they let them get away with bull****, the fact is SOviet units were so poor compared with Allied units such as the new Pershings and Mustangs that were appearing around early 1945 that the RUssians wouldn't have been able to keep up the offensive, Japan would have probably Allied with Russia and so it could have been Moscow and not Hiroshima that got nuked, all very interesting but the fact is the Allies were keen to end the war on good terms with Russia simply to ensure that Germany was ruled properly after 1945, which is why they let the Russians get away with too much stuff, if Montgomery had pushed to beat the Reds to Berlin he would have made it (mostly cause Germans would have let him) but the Russians encircled Berlin to simply stop the Allies getting at it for other side, if Allies had dashed for Berlin just as Russians completed their encirclements Russian units had orders to fire on any units trying to enter the city which were not Red Army, Allied or German so the British and Russians would have met there, and the Russians hated Churchill too so could have been interesting, i am sure, however that CDV would have made games about the conflict in which the Greater forces (whicheevr side Germany allied with) will win, even if they didn;t

In that case the Allies would win hands down. and considering that the Soviets had just been invaded and had fought it back, I dont think they could withstand another if the Allies pushed forward. The Soviets just wouldnt have enough men. I wish it happend. Stalin needed to fired from the Pershing 90mm cannon![:D]

Actually Soviet industry was superior against the allied ones, they could of recovered very quickly if necessary.

Manpower would of not been a problem either. "New generations" were getting to the age of military service and Soviet Union still had plenty of troops.

But they wouldnt be able to stand up to a sustained attack from allied forces due tothe fact they would be outnumbered (i.e.the "5 Shermans vs a Tiger, 1 comes back" theroy).
Sheer numbers always beats technology.

Damn, I should of included that text I had previously...

Soviets could build 5000 tanks(not sure about the models though) in 1-2 months! Allied troops would of been overwhelmed by the numbers and the power of the Soviet tanks.

On sea though Allied had no danger. They could of made several landings etc., but somehow I think Stalin and the others could of repelled everything.

Soviets knew OF it...they didnt know how to get their hands on it. Nukes would have obliterated Russia.

Perhaps, but you need to be mad enough to destroy an entire country with nukes. US citizens don't like nukes.
